Expo Goals

  • Increase awareness and education about healthy lifestyles, screening and research (with an emphasis on biospecimen research)
  • Engage families, friends, and individuals in fun, interactive wellness and preventive screening activities, and learn about opportunities to participate in research
  • Help build connectivity between our diverse communities and researchers in the National Capital Area of Maryland, DC and Virginia

Expo Themes

Exhibits will revolve around five themes:
  • Healthy Lifestyles
  • Health Tests and Screenings
  • Research Participation, including Biospecimen Research
  • Training Opportunities for Youth in Science
  • Family Fun

Free presentations and information will be available on health topics, such as diet, physical activity, smoking cessation, blood pressure, alcohol and substance abuse, diabetes, asthma, cancer, and biospecimen research.
