Travel for Supported Participants
If you have been notified by your Program Director that you will receive funding to attend the Summit, please make your travel arrangements through Omega World Travel, the official Government travel agency.

To make travel arrangements, please call OWT at 1-800-723-9403 and mention the Meeting Code number that was provided to you in your logistics letter. If you no longer have that number, please contact Michelle Murray at to request the code.

The cost of air travel will be covered directly through NCI; participants will not be responsible for this expense. Any transportation reservations made outside of these guidelines will not be reimbursed. No exceptions to this policy will be made. In addition, the Federal Government will not reimburse the cost of car rentals, although it will reimburse taxicab fares.

Travel for Nonsupported Participants
Nonsupported participants are responsible for arranging their own travel to the Summit. When making travel plans, attendees should allow adequate time to accommodate the heavy rush-hour traffic in the Washington, DC area.

Hotel

A block of sleeping rooms has been reserved at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center and at the Bethesda Marriott at Pooks Hill under the block name NCI CHD Summit 06. Shuttle service will be provided between the Pooks Hill Marriott and the Bethesda North Marriott Conference Center.

Registrants should make their own reservations at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center or the Bethesda Marriott at Pooks Hill by the cutoff date of June 20, 2006, under the block of rooms reserved for the NCI CHD Summit 06, by calling 1-800-228-9290.

In order to receive the Government rate of $150 plus 12% tax per room, per night, you must register by the June 20 deadline. A small block of rooms is reserved for the evening of Wednesday, July 19, on a first-come, first-served basis for those participants who are departing on Thursday, July 20.

Light refreshments only will be provided during the meeting. Participants will be responsible for obtaining their own meals during scheduled breaks.
