Edward L. Trimble, M.D., M.P.H.
Following graduation from Harvard College and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, Edward L. Trimble trained in obstetrics and gynecology at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center. After earning a master's degree in public health from the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health, he completed a fellowship in gynecologic oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
He then joined the National Cancer Institute, where he is now Associate Chief (Surgery), Clinical Investigation Branch, Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program. His duties involve liaison with the Gynecologic Oncology Group and the American College of Surgeons Oncology Group, as well as oversight of issues involving the elderly, minorities, and women; cost; and quality of life in NCI-sponsored treatment trials. He practices gynecologic oncology at the NIH Clinical Center and Johns Hopkins Hospital.
